Tribal Marks: No Thanks!

I understand tribal marks are dying out in Nigeria, I hope they do die out and never come back. All I need to do is remember when my face was being brutalised by that razor blade and I have no issues saying, so long to facial tribal marks. I mean, what’s with the shark drawn lines and years later, you are looking for make-up to help you cover it up. No, they can keep it. My identity is not tied to some marks on my face neither is my protection. I know some are done in the form of tattoos on other parts of the body as a sign of identifying with your tribe…well, good for you if you like it. As for me, no more. I am done with anyone chanting crap and spitting over my head and on my face because he is keeping to tradition. Bye, bye to tribal marks.
