Thank You & Happy New Year!

Thank youThis is my little note to say a big thank you for making my passion a reality. This website/blog has brought me so much joy and satisfaction this year, I cannot begin to quantify the gratitude I have for all who stopped by to read my musings and rants. I am grateful for the comments you all left on the different post and I appreciate the emails. You all made it fun and for that, I want to say, thank you, thank you and thank you. This website was to keep me sane and occupied while I figured life out but it soon became an obsession because on days when I could not write a post due to work/ deadlines or other commitments, it felt like I had neglected my child. And that is exactly what this website is, my baby! For the times I was ill and could not write, I want to say a big thank you to all those who sent me an email, asking I update my website. You have no idea how that lifted my spirit and made me want to get better faster than you could say JA! It said so much and though we should never allow others affirm or validate us, it felt good to know that someone was interested in what I thought or had to say about the crazy world we live in and I so appreciate that. Thank you!

For the new friends and acquaintances I made through this website, thank you. I do not take the connection for granted at all. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

For the intelligent folks who always pointed out any errors or spelling mistakes, thank you. Please, make sure you tell me any that you spot in 2011 and I really mean that. I appreciate that you would want to help me correct an error and not laugh at me.

I also had moments of tears regarding this website, I have no idea why but to get an email from my sisters, telling me how proud they were, was one of the most fulfilling thing about this unpaid job because that was more rewarding than physical money. To my sisters, thank you and I am honoured that I made you proud. I hope and pray that I can do it again. Thank you all so much and I look forward to being able to write more and more in 2011 and of course, meet and exceed my own expectations. Ogo Okonji, Deborah Meli-Anidi, Judith, Myne Whitman, Temitayo…if I continue, this list will never end, thank you all so much. If you cannot see your name, please, charge it to time and my head not my heart πŸ™‚

This note would be incomplete without acknowledging TOLA OREDOPE, the best web designer and technical adviser ever. If you want a website done, look no further. Darock Projects will fix it up for you, real good. It took a while for me to understand where Tola was coming from but the day I got it, I stopped fusing and all my silent threats stopped. Tola, you are stuck with me, please don’t run away πŸ™‚

Stumbled upon this quote by TD Jakes on Facebook earlier and I thought it was a most befitting way to end the year and enter a new one with a clean slate. β€œYou can’t spend your life in the graveyard of guilt dealing with the corpses of the past. Know when things are dead, know when to release them and bury them. If you continue to work with the dry bones of dead issues, you too will begin to decay. No amount of work will resuscitate a corpse. Sign the death certificate and bury the past.” It is time to move on and do great things because changing the methodology with which you operate in life is essential to your survival and success for 2011, especially if it didn’t work in 2010. I hope you have your goals mapped out and are ready to have a blast no matter what comes your way. Let’s make things happen in 2011.

I wish you all a great 2011 and may all your dreams and hopes for yourself come through and may you have a reason to smile always. With the deepest gratitude a girl like me can find right now, thank you and have a fun filled New Year’s eve and a great 2011.

Happy New Year!!!!
