Some interesting news stories from Africa. Enjoy!!
I love Tye & Dye. It is one of my favourite fabrics and I have a thing for Tye & Dye made in the Gambia because they are one of a kind and some of the best in the world as far as I am concerned. Northern Nigeria makes some fine ones too, I wonder why we are no longer using them. It would be a shame to see this tradition of cloth-making die out. This is a tradition worth keeping.
Sisters are doing it for themselves and the nation, they are also braking down barriers and I like that a whole lot.
The Vuvuzela gets a makeover, re-branding culture I guess…
Paying it forward, a tradition well worth keeping.
Speaking up, breaking the tradition of silence
I end on this note, some joy from the Congo and it made me smile, I am learning the dance moves 🙂
