A London Tourist: Nelson’s Ship & The Fourth Plinth

I have lived in London for over a decade, this is the first time I took my ‘time’ to really admire Trafalgar Square, St Jame’s Park and pay a visit to the Queen. Well, I walked through the front of her palace, that must count for something right?

The Fourth Plinth

This is the new artwork by Yinka Shonibare MBE, the British-Nigerian artist to occupy the empty Fourth Plinth at Trafalgar Square. It will be there for 18 months. So, you have all the time in the world to drive past and catch a glimpse.

It is amazing that he could get a live model of Nelson’s Ship, which commemorates the Battle of Trafalgar into a bottle.

Enjoy!!!

My finger is obstructing the view but we got there

I hope you have had fun viewing. Why not go one better and walk around Trafalgar Square, the next time you are in the area. The Fourth Plinth looks fantastic.
